All about Collecting my Art...

Detailed Acquisition Information

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in my art! I am honored to have your appreciation.

I understand that collecting art is a very personal journey, and because, since 2008, I have not set fixed prices upon my art, I’ve created a unique alternative process encouraging you to offer your price for any of my available works.

Below, I outline that acquisition process to ensure transparency and mutual understanding.

Acquisition Process

Flexible Pricing

Each painting in my Available Art galleries has a posted Reserve value—our suggested starting value based on an evaluation of visual and artistic merit-worthiness to a hypothetical seasoned collector. It’s the “the best offer above/greater > than $____” info posted under each collectable artwork.

Regardless of this reserve, you are free to offer any amount (of currency or value in exchange) for a piece.  All sincere offers are welcome.

Offer Levels

Offers Below Reserve: These remain valid for up to 30 days, during which I may negotiate or accept at my discretion.

Competitive Offers (Above Reserve): These trigger a short 96-hour competitive period, during which I notify other potential collectors who may wish to place a higher bid. This process ensures the best offer determines the final collector.

Buy It Now Option: By offering two times the Reserve Price, you may bypass competition and secure the artwork immediately (unless a competitive process is already underway).

How to Make an Offer

Use the “Inquire About or Make an Offer” form on this website.

Include your offer and preferred contact information (cell phone number required for coordination).

After submitting the form you’ll receive a personal reply as soon as possible.

After Your Offer Is Accepted

If your offer is accepted:

I will contact you directly to confirm the details, including delivery preferences, payment methods, and receive your instructions for signing the artwork-- if it is a 'multi-directional piece'.

Upon receipt of the artwork, you have seven days to inspect it. If it doesn’t meet your expectations, you may return it in its original condition.

Additional Details

Viewing Limitations

While I strive to represent each piece as accurately as possible online, the original artwork may differ slightly due to texture, color calibration, and resolution variations across screens.

Sizing Information

  • Works on 22" x 30" paper: Painted area is typically 20" x 28".
  • Works on 26" x 40" paper: Painted area is typically 24" x 38".
  • A 1" unpainted border (concealable during framing) allows space for my signature and title on the painted side, if desired.
  • Photos of these details can be requested via text message.

Artwork Identification

The reverse side of each piece includes:

  • A unique ID code for insurance purposes.
  • Title (if applicable).
  • Copyright date.
  • My signature and locus sigili (seal).

Why This Process?

I’ve designed this approach to create a transparent acquisition system that honors the market value of my art while fostering genuine direct relationships with my collectors that are mutually satisfying.

Thank you for considering my work for your collection!

David Seacord Reproductions

In a nutshell…. Yes, reproductions ARE AVAILABLE ON A CUSTOM ORDER BASIS for nearly any David Seacord image. And a significant number of my images are currently already set up and ready to go ‘on demand’.

A…..I can provide Limited Edition Fine Art Canvas Giclee’s.

During my professionally exhibiting period (2006-2010) I spent many hours working directly with…i.e., personally sitting next to the computer technicians etc… in one of the world’s most reputable fine art reproduction houses located in Scottsdale Arizona, and… in the end together we perfected and I gave ‘artist approval’ to the color calibrations and test print results of about two dozen fine art canvas giclee reproductions of my most exquisite pieces of that period.  Thus, I can still offer the high end limited edition giclee connoisseur these reproductions today.

Please simply request additional information and I will provide a catalog of the available images and their prices.

For an example, I can provide you “The Arrival of My True Love” (2008) as a stunning full sized 48” x 72” stretched canvas giclee for around $3000 plus shipping.

I can also provide you with a full sized beautiful 30” x 40” stretched canvas giclee of Shimmers of Light (2008) for about $1000, plus shipping.

In other words, the cost is related to the size of the print. And shipping, which can be quite costly, is of course also size related.

b. I can provide Custom Reproductions on Paper.

Although this was unfortunately not true at the beginning, for many years, I have made sure that my art photography files are of adequate resolution to be able to be used for full sized custom reproductions of my many works on paper. Because of my direct artistic involvement, these custom reproductions on paper are available for under $400. They are shipped directly to you from the printing facility unless you prefer an artist signed print. In that case, you will be charged double shipping (printer to me for signing, then from me on to you). You  will also be charged a $75 artist signing gratuity, and I will also add a warm note to you directly, as an added value.

C. I can provide Excellent Quality Print on Demand Reproductions via my E-commerce website:

To meet the desires of the art-loving general public, I use reputable ‘print on demand’ companies that I have created business relationships with.

These companies specialize in offering a wide variety of products which have been commercially imprinted on demand with my art imagery. Thus, through his Shopify-powered e-commerce store (https://davidkenyonseacord.com) you may  order several dozen of my art images as very affordable 18” x 24” wall prints and posters costing only $39 each, shipping included.

In addition, you can order my imagery upon mugs, yoga mats, blankets, tapestries, tote bags, t-shirts, and more. I have checked with our purchasers of these products and have so far always been told that they were delighted with the quality of their purchase.

Of course, while artistically beautiful, none of these POD reproductions are delivered signed, unless special arrangements have be made in advance.

Thank you for your interest and artistic appreciation of the Art of David Kenyon Seacord.
